What I Did On My Vacation…
No, not a post about the rather fine 80s Gillan 2LP set issued (if I recall correctly) on Virgin but rather an explanation of why bugger all has happened on Rock Of Ages since December 8th.
Well, I changed ISP from the excellent but expensive Zen Internet to the not so excellent but faster and considerably cheaper Talk Talk. Within 3 days of connection to Talk Talk they managed to take a set-up that had been rock solid for 3 years and create the most frustrating situation I’ve had in years!
Rather than writing my thoughts on various albums old and new, listening to more music and posting up Dave’s contributions too I’ve been stuck in a daily battle with call centre agents or simply listening to hold music for ages and ages. Still, all seems to be fixed now and hopefully we can return things to normality here…
Some of the stuff coming up then…
A look at an old ZZ Top album later today/tomorrow
A review of the Christmas gig by Swansea legends “Man”
An interview with Glyder courtesy of Dave Hunter
A continued look at some of the releases by the ORK Records label
A Christmas confession hopefully listing a pile of vinyl found under a tree in the corner of the room next week
and the best of 2007 in the opinion of the Rock Of Ages team.
thanks for your patience and also those of you who got in touch to check I was all right given my prolonged silence - I appreciated both of your emails :-)
