So here it is…
A thinly disguised opportunity to get another Slade track onto the video panel or five rocking Christmas songs to offset the out of tune carol singing over the next couple of weeks…. and I promise they’ll be gone by the end of the month.
Slade - Merry Xmas Everybody
The mother of all rock Christmas songs delivered here on the “Top Of The Pops” Christmas Special 1983 and introduced by the legendary John Peel.
The Darkness - Christmas Time (Don’t Let The Bells End)
The much missed (by me anyway) Lowestoft legends with their fairly recent seasonal song. The Darkness offshoot Stone Gods are certainly a name to look out for next year if the recently unleashed “Burn The Witch” is anything to go by.
Twisted Sister - Oh Come All Ye Faithful
The surprise Christmas song of recent years. Everything we ever missed about the mad make-up encrusted shock-rockers wrapped up in a festive tune and typically entertaining video.
The Greedies - A Merry Jingle
A surprising and at first unlikely combination of Thin Lizzy and Sex Pistols members perform their 1979 Christmas song.
Trans-Siberian Orchestra - Christmas Canon Rock
And something a little more classy perhaps with the “supergroup” giving a fine TV performance of a lovely song.
….as usual just click on a video in the right hand panel to view it and just hit the “see all” link to look at the older videos featured.
It makes a change from Bing and Band Aid doesn’t it?

An alternative TS tune, probably favored by me, even though it was mid-November when I saw them play it!
Of course their version of 12 Days of Christmas is a cracker too (don’t forget to teach your kids the words LOL)
